Food plays a great role in understanding a wine and a place. So it was only natural that we wanted to show you more about it.

Being sommeliers, our life centers around marrying wine with food. In Italy wine is never drank without food, so understanding food is the first step in understanding the wine. And you will see that the whole country and its people make more sense, too, once you understand the food culture - the growing, the buying, the preparation and: Eating!

Our food tour has a different itinerary for each day of the week (and yes, that includes Sunday - let yourself be surprised). The common point of every day is visiting the right market, the food shops, the cafes, the gelateria that offer their best. Where the very discerning locals go themselves. Where we have been shopping for years. We have a certain area and certain shops in mind for every morning, but we are flexible to accommodate your wishes - be it photo-ops, just learning about the food, shopping items for your rental apartment kitchen or to take back home with you. And we will always leave you at a good lunch spot!

Max. attendee number for this tour is 6. Included are the appx. 3 hour expert guided walking tour with many stops; in-depth explanation and description of the various food and related items you will see; and various tastes you will receive.

The cost of this tour is €80 p.p., a minimum attendance of 2 is required for the event to take place.
